The Flowing Hair coin type is the earliest that the brand new U.S. Mint created. With its mintage of 300,000, the 1795 is considerably more affordable than the 1794, bringing this coin within reach of many serious collectors. 300k doesn’t sound like a lot by modern terms, but this was a useful coin in commerce in the nascent United States!
