These are a fun piece of Mexican history for the note / paper money collector! Here we have three notes from revolutionary Mexico – from the state of Chihuahua under revolutionary leader Pancho Villa. General Villa issued scrip currency during his reign and insisted citizens and commerce traded his fiat currency on par with physically backed Mexican government paper money. Most people didn’t like it, but a hard hand of the law encouraged dissenters to choose his fake money over jail time.

We have three notes for your collection, sold as a group. We grade these Series CC and DD notes Fine, Very Fine and Extremely Fine.
