A beautiful and quite rare example of a small copper coin from a fascinating place with rich history. PV Coin Exchange is pleased to offer to you today this beautiful ancient coin.

Many of you history buffs will be familiar with the town of Carrhae, the place of a pivotal ancient battle that influenced the history of the world as it unfolded. That battle between the Romans and the Parthians took place just couple of centuries before this beautiful little specimen was minted.

This is quite a rare piece, highly coveted by collectors yet not appearing for purchase often – especially not in this excellent grade of NGC Choice Fine. The obverse shows a crab crawling toward the center of the coin, the reverse features a crescent with a star. We’re pleased to offer you this beautiful crab from what some call the cradle of civilization.
