This is a numismatist’s dream piece! PV Coin Exchange is pleased to offer you today an exquisite piece of exonumia. This token was made by S.H. Zahm, a coin dealer from Pennsylvania, just at the outset of the Civil War. Somehow, this gorgeous piece has survived through today in a beautiful mint state.
The obverse of the token is a beautiful golden portrait of Benjamin Franklin. The reverse reads “S.H. ZAHM – DEALERS IN COINS, TOKENS, MEDALS & LANCASTER PA”. Surely the capstone of any exonumia collection, and a beautiful, rare piece for any coin collection. Fuld F-525A-1b.
NGC Certifies this coin as Mint State 64.
