The US Mint in San Francisco produced just 48,000 pieces dated 1867, meaning this is among the key dates of a difficult series. And this one is additionally conditionally rare. PCGS has certified fewer than ten coins in higher than Extremely Fine condition, meaning this is a piece on a ton of want lists! This piece is beautiful, with a decent strike and a light haze of age overall covering mint state luster. The reverse, though sharp detail, is darker than the obverse.
