This is an enigmatic reasonably high grade example of the beautiful “Nude Flyer” or “Nude Swimmer”. A 20 Centisimi struck in nickel at the Rome, Italy mint, these coins are difficult to find in truly uncirculated condition. Often lauded as the most beautiful coin in the world, this striking piece is an excellent and certified example at choice uncirculated.
There are few pieces of the entire series grading higher than 4, with a handful of 6s known in all years. Easily found in choice Almost Uncirculated, seeing a near fully struck piece with luster overall is a real treat.
