A fascinating piece of Southeast Asian history right here. Cambodia has long been a haven for political upheaval, as was the case when this lovely little billon 2 Pey (also known as a 1/2 Fuang) came into being. Struck only on one side, it features the Hamsa Bird, a creature with mythological qualities for the indigenous Cambodian people.
For some reason, NGC grades this coin Genuine, though in our estimation it is strong Very Fine, problem free. From what we can see there is no reason to anticipate a details grade.
